Logging What You Eat

Logging is meant to take seconds. There are five ways in, and every estimate is editable — you're never stuck with a number you don't agree with.

Five Ways to Log

Correcting Anything

Tap any logged entry to edit it — description, portion, calories, macros, meal type, or the time it happened. Adjusting the portion rescales the item for you.

Your corrections are permanent. Once you've edited an item by hand, nothing re-estimates it afterwards. Your word is final on your own food.

Timing

Entries land at the current time by default. Say when it happened and that's used instead ("porridge at 7:30"), or set the time in the edit screen. Days are your local calendar days.

Saving a Usual

In the entry screen, choose Add to usuals and give it a name (your first item's description is filled in as a starting point). It appears as a chip at the top of the page from then on. Edit a chip with its pencil, or remove it with two taps.

Supplements and Routines

If your coach has recorded a daily supplement or drink routine, anything with calories, fluid or caffeine logs itself on days you use the app — you'll see it ticked on the routine list. Delete an entry and it stays deleted; it won't reappear. To change the routine itself, tell your coach.

Fluid, Caffeine and Sodium

Drinks count twice over: their calories go to your energy total, and their volume to your fluid total. Water is worth logging as a zero-calorie drink for the fluid credit. Caffeine is tallied for awareness, with no target attached.

Sodium is estimated for every item — like the macros, from your description, a photo, or exactly from a scanned label — and tallied for the day. Two honest caveats: estimates under-count hidden salt (restaurant and packaged food especially), so treat the tally as a floor; and there is deliberately no sodium target — what you need depends on how much and how salty you sweat, which varies from athlete to athlete and day to day. See Target, Burned & Remaining for how to read the sodium line. Electrolyte drinks and salt capsules in your coach-managed routine log their sodium automatically.

Tip: Don't chase perfection. A roughly-right log every day tells you far more than a precise log you abandon after a week — and your coach reads the pattern, not the decimal places.
